I've used it for maybe one charge and two fires, and have topped up the pack now and then. Included are two new bulbs as well as the working installed one.

Re: FS: Mac's Customs "The Torch +"

This thread lasted 1 hr and 52 minutes. Wish I'd been paying attn. although since they cut my hours this month I'm a bit poor. But still as irresponsible as ever.

Holy Smokes that was FAST!!!!! I went to the post office this morning and there was already a package in my Po Box.

This light IS truely a work of art!! It is brighter than anything I could dream up and HOT HOT HOT, even temp wise .

Thanks to LED Zepplin for his OUTSTANDING service and friendliness. Top rate guy, and to Mac for his amazing skills in building such a superior looking light with great attention to detail.

I plan on "using" this light instead of just putting it on a shelf like some might. Something this beautiful deserves to be given it's chance to SHINE.

Cheers!.

I'm pretty damn jealous, but it makes me think, why not just build something myself. I'm thinking of building something along the lines of 4K plus lumens in a 3D mag. 2d is cool too but if I can get a battery configuration with more run-time with 3d I don't mind the weight. Also it might help the heat dissipate better with more metal. I might have to get a custom finned head from someone to help with dissipation, an AM switch, good glass and reflector,.. batt. pack, hmm. Am I missing anything. I don't have the skill, but by the time I am finished I will =)

I need to learn alot more about battery packs or get some solid recommendations, so I will probably make a help thread for recommendations. It wont be as beautiful as the Torch is , but it will be a workhorse.

p.s. I hear wicked Lasers sells a "Torch" although I'm sure it's not Mac quality unless he makes it for them. I heard a bad review on that one and several good ones so I don't know what to think, at any rate It would be more fun to make it myself.

p.p.s. I also heard that the bad review might have been as a result of the reviewers (popular mechanics I think) may have used thier own batter pack instead of the recommended or supplied pack which apparently shorted out, but I really don't know. It's all gossip.
