This one is a light I purchased from Gtie not long ago. It started life as a standard Novatac 120T, but then had the Milky mod to become a SUPERNOVA. I'm sure that anyone reading this who is interested must already know of this cool light - but a quick forum search can produce both details and beamshots, so I'll save the bandwidth (and my camera is DOA) and simply get to the added details;
- Gtie had this one modded to contain the programmable board of the Novatac 120P, so it is fully programmable to all four levels. Basically a 120P Supernova, with 120T on the outside.
- I asked for the flush tailcap of a 120P and Gtie generously swapped the "T" tailcap for the flush "P" version. In the interest of full disclosure, Gtie advised that the HA match was a bit darker on this "P" tailcap which WAS true, but I already had a one month old 120P at home and it's tail was lighter than it's body.......so I swapped them and now both lights more closely match. This Supernova 120P still has 120T on the tube, but is in essence a 120P Supernova. The finish color is a lighter HA color. As stated, the tail and body match nicely.
- This light has a smooth, somewhat deep-dish style brushed-finish RPM SS bezel. It looks great and fits both the appearance and character of this light. Looks smooth and nicely finished.
- I installed a glow silicone O-ring in place of the standard black one - between the inside of bezel and the top curved lens area.
- This light also comes with a Ti lanyard ring.
This Supernova Novatac has a fresh 123 cell and I carried it less than a dozen times, in my pocket. I'd say it's about 95% condition, with no dings and only the minor wear that comes from pocket carry.
Mine looks like all the other photos on CPF, but with a smooth edge bezel and a Ti lanyard ring. I do believe that I have the Novatac packaging to go with this one.
