I am a long time lover of Casio's "gadget" watches and have owned just about all of them. The big news is that the really excellent Triple Sensor model has been improved in two major ways. The first is size, the old models were so large that it was difficult to wear them doing anything, they are now much more ergonomic thanks to not have bulging sensors. The second, and best thing, is that they have fallen in price by almost half. They seem to still be pretty high at most dealers, but there are some KILLER deals on ebay. A Triple Sensor that would run $250 (what I paid) a few years ago can be had for around $125-155. There are also more variations, including titanium models, solar powered models, and some new functions like moon phase mode. If you look on ebay look under "casio pathfinder" for the most results. If I can raise some cash I am going to score the Sea Pathfinder, no altimeter -but I don't need it- and has a mood phase mode.
There is also a really nice solar powered pathfinder that has few gadgets but is under $60 on ebay.
BTW all the arguements about what is the toughest watch end with the G shock. It is also the only watch that I KNOW was issued to the militar. I had a buddy that was a Viking pilot in the Navy and was issued a G shock, still has it.
