I have a sup up mountain bike about 4 yrs ago but someone broke down the door and the rail in order to get to my bike " yea serious " :eeksign:

Anyway i ended buying another bike from toys r us a men 7 speed hybrid/comfort bike and now i want to make it custom but not to break the back is does have the fender and a bike rack that attach with the bike seat poles so is really fully equip now what im going to do well i want to buy some stuff from the 0.99 cent store well not exactly a 0.99 cent

2 x led flashlight " convert into headlight "
4 x 2 clear and 2 red " convert into red taillight and clear turn signal "

now i was also considering to buy this from amazon a turnsignal and brake that fit on the cable so i can control the stopping and turn signal and " jerryrigs " em to work

so what do you guy and gal think or is there a better way ?

Welcome to the forum Harold.

I can't make out what you're trying to ask.
Seriously, please type or write using proper grammar and sentences.

I want to add inexpensive headlight and taillight to my new bike. I have a very small budget. Will cheap LED flashlights work ok? I want turn indicators too.

Why are you insulting my lack of judgment and my intelligent i want to point out that i was involve in a accident and the result that i will not fully make comprehensible sentence

and what most shocking is that you have 2 member just insult a member a new member who need help and advice even thought im not no idiot is seem to me that this is what kinda of help i got

anyway

i did some shopping i bought 4 led flashlight and each take 3 AAA battery and i want to use them and also hood up external power supply and a switch so what can i do ?

Hi Harry :welcome:

Have a read through some of the threads here, lots of ideas for external battery packs and flashlight mounts.
AAA batteries are not very good for bike lights to see by because they have such low capacity, they're ok for a dim "be seen" light.
A lot of people here use a flashlight that runs on a few AAs or 3.6V lithium rechargables. For cheap get from DX not the 99c store.

thank for the link but for me i like to modify and since you said that AAA is underpower but good for with some light maybe i can get AA led flashlight and will that help me also i notice that the button is on the end for on/off can i modify it and add on a toggle switch and if i get a 2nd light can i have it share the same power

Look at kaidomain.com and do a search for "Bicycle Lights Cramp" (yes, cramp, not clamp, it's engrish) for an inexpensive mount for your flashlights.

For the taillights and turn signal you will find those on both KD and on dealextreme.com if you browse the bicycle lights sections.

and thank for point out the mistake but as i said im no idiot i take eyes drop to my left eyes sometimes.................just to let you know

and i got an update i dump the light why well the wiring is too confusing and when i was at radio shack the on near is good and i explain what happen they look at the light and after a few option is best to abandoned but wait all is not lost

i saw a paid of led lantern on clearance from 9.99 to 7.99 and look pretties decent so i end buying and guess what after i took it apart i think is doable and im in the process of retrofitting and once i finish it i will post picture of the process and update and some additional question

1.I painted them due to being 2 difference color one green and the other blue so i painted a off white color like " white tannish color " is a spray paint made for plastic

and i have a question what is the best wiring for this each take 4 AA battery and they each 3 led i planning to use high end core like from a "extension core" but is too much power so i found a core in my "crap box" and i found this low voltage and is do work and now while i was at home depot i bought a toggle switch which is "4A 250 Volt / 8A 125 volt" and i want to see if i can use as it on/off switch
