SOMETHING INSIDE FF4 BULB

Hey, I may just be paranoid but i was curious if anyone else had anything inside the bulb of there FF4? It looks like a "smear" of something inside. I read somewhere about the stuff inside the bulb "burning in" but not sure what it is. does not seem to affect the performance. any input??thanks

The arc chamber has various metals and salts in there to assist in maintaining a stable, bright, white arc. These can appear as a smear of particles on the side of the arc chamber that was facing down at the time of the bulb's last cooldown.

Often, axial arc bulbs state that they should be run horizontally, might see if it is mentioned in the FF4 manual.
