Hello everyone!
I've been interested in doing some creative things with LEDs for a while and I'm finally getting round to doing some research on it, gathering and understanding what I can and I've now found myself here looking for some of your expertise!
So I'm looking to run LED strips along the back of my computer desk but to also make them pulsate with sound.
Through much looking around I've come across these items that I believe I need (just looking for some clarification);

Sound activated controller - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0053YAXMI/
Now, my understanding is that I won't need the IR controller which comes with the LED strips if I also buy the RGB sound activated controller?
Also, if I'm missing anything could you please advise me on what to do? I'm a complete novice to this and don't understand electrics and lighting very well yet!
