I'm looking for an inexpensive source for thin rubber or silicone
washers or gaskets to seal 26mm and 20mm optics. I'll be machining
custom bodies for a single cell (3.2v LiFePO4) Cree XRE lights, using
Carclo or L2 optics. The only source for suitable thin washers I've
found so far is http://www.metrogasket.com , and their minimum
order is kind of steep. The two sizes of washer I'm needing are
1.063"OD x 0.938"ID x 0.031" thick and 0.891"OD x 0.766"ID x 0.031".
I could adjust these dimensions slightly if necessary.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

yep, mcmaster has the best variety of silicone metric.

My searches of McMaster haven't turned up anything useful.
The silicone washers they list (all 11 of them) are .093" thick,
and have a 2:1 OD/ID ratio. That isn't going to be much good
for a flashlight. I've also check Grainger and MSC without success.
I'm hoping there are other specialty suppliers out there that might
have lower minimums than metrogasket.com .

Thanks,
-- Ralph
