I've gotten lots of Russian women showing interest on an online personals service I use. The first woman emailed me and when I responded, she instantly cancelled her profile on the website and said she wanted to converse directly with me only, not through the website. All of her emails seemed very vague and she never answered any of the questions I asked her. When I politely asked her why she hadn't directly answered any of my questions, that was the last I heard from her. Also, her profile said she was from New Jersey. She said the website needed an American zipcode to work. I guess she just made one up. I suspect that she showed interest in lots of men with a "blanket-style, mass emailing over the service, and once she got someone to respond, she cancelled her membership. I guess I was the first one to answer. That was about a month and a half ago, and I've gotten responses from 4 other women from Russia. Their profiles were all deleted in less than 2 days. It sounds to me like they are just fishing for someone to bring them to America, and/or get as much money from the unsuspecting guy.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but it sure sounds like a scam to me. Please be careful, and let us know what happens.
Best of luck.
