Split Ring ?

What size split ring do I need to fit in the AA maglite body to keep the sandwitch in place?

I dont think you need one. At least I dont use any. It wont come out on the lens end at all and the batteries keep it pushed all the way to the top.
Just be careful when you change batteries and dont loose your sandwich.

Just FYI, I'm pretty sure what Wayne sells, split rings, are what you keep your keys on.

I think what you're wanting is what's called a snap ring. This had me confused for the longest time.

You may be able to make a snap ring with a little spring wire. Just wrap the wire around a AA battery and then open it up a bit. Should work fine.

brinkmann legend 2aa have those snaprings--they hold a component in place. i will use them to hold my badboys in place, as soon as i finalize a home for them. (that sounded a little...perverted.)

Glad I asked befor I ordered a split ring

I just can't say anough about how great this light is and I can run it using AA's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

New order just placed this morning.

I Think the best part is I get a new light and the wife can't even tell becuase it looks like the same old maglite /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
