ssc p7 vs xml t6

Hello,

I was wondering what's the difference between the ssc p7 (which seems to be more expensive) and the xml t6. I was considering to buy a C8 from manafont (ultrafire or trustfire) because 2100 told me that would be a good choice. I also saw that ultrafires are slightly more expensive than trustfires but I'm also told they are similar quality.

You MAY have more flood on the SSC P7. The XML -T6 is something to get excited about IMHO. BTW UltraFires and Trustfires, as you probably know, are lower priced versions of other lights. FWIW I have had some decent UF lights but the overall failure rate out of the box is about 25%. I would suggest "stepping up" to LumaPower, Jetbeam, Quark etc

How exactly is the T6 something to be more excited about? SO the ssc P7 is more expensive but not really that much better?

Long story short, the SSC P7 has been on the market for several years. It's a large emitter compared to the Cree XM-L, it will produce a wider "flood" beam in the same reflector diameter compared to an XM-L. I've not seen an neutral or warm white P7 emitters for sale in some time. The XM-L essentially equals the P7 and Cree's earlier MC-E emitters in a smaller package for less $$ and is producing some sought-after NW and WW tint. The XM-L die is small enough that many of the favored manufacturers are offering the XM-L based lights along side XP-G models with only an emitter swap.
