Stanley SL5W09 Cold Weather

I just picked up a SL5W09 from Wal-mart today and i was wondering if leaving it charged in my jeep (between my drivers seat and door) would have any adverse effects on the battery or light output. I heard the cold is bad for batteries but good for LED's so im not sure if its such a good idea( what good is the led if theres no battery to power it). Let me know what ya think, if i should leave it in the Jeep or only take it out when i think ill need it. Thanks!
