to at least have free bait maybe sell some. did i read right they can eat old coffee grounds? what do they eat in the wild? not sure what kind they are i harvested them in south georgia usa they big and brownish

Better to spell worm properly in the title. Consider proofreading your written words before posting.

Easy enough to research what kitchen scraps, etc. are good for vermiculture. Perhaps contrary to convention, a rotten, opened up avocado gets them going; at least it did when I had worms years ago.

No meat, cheese or greasy stuff. Make sure the soil, or other media you have them in are moist, not waterlogged. Having a container that can drain will avoid sogginess. Letting them freeze will end it.

saw it after i posted lol i was so pissed man i need new glasses and a new mind lol. btw where i got the worms from there was tons. its where the landscapper dumps leaves and etc etc.. but soon others will find my secret so i wanted my own stash at home.i was thinking they must eat leaves since thats all i saw in pile other then damn good soil

that would be good hopefully im saving money to i haven't bought worms in a long time so forget the price lol. maybe i can sell them at the park where the locals fish and non locals

Yep. A nice compost bin can host lots of earthworms, black soldier fly maggots, ect
I have a mealworm/superworm breeding setup as well as soldier fly.
We have reptiles at the shop so free critter food.

I saw a program on history channel, a couple quit their well paying jobs, and build a worm farm, growing them by millions, and selling them all over the world, or was it the science channel, not sure. It could be very profitable business, just do not let them run away, and have neighbors report you, lol, or the city will find out you growing them to be sold, and will want their share lol.

I first read the title as a purposely misspelled 'pr0# farm'. I was thinking "what the ... is a pr0# farm?" And how would anyone start one?
So many questions.

Only to find out it was an accidental typo. Hopes crushed. Cue sad trombone

Well....... If it were something higher-up on the evolutionary ladder than worms, insects, and other such critters; intentionally creating breeding farms would bring to question one's morals.
