sticky control ring

on tn 31...
mine is rough , sticky, and sounds like its grinding metal when u turn it..
anybody elses like this?

would it hurt to put a dab of lube or oil around it ?

Contact your dealer and see what they can do. I'm not sure how you'd open up and clean that ring.

Hmm. I've had my JetBeam RRT0XML since Dec 7, 2012. Lately, the ring's been sticking and a bit rough. I carry this daily; so it's probably dust and lint buildup. But in the Owner's Manual, JB only addresses thread maintenance and lubing only. I've emailed both JB and the U.S. dealer I bought this from. Waiting to hear back. But has anyone else has any ring issues? If so, how'd you get it to turn smoothly and glide as NEW again? Compressed air? Thanks in advance...
