Strange LED Identification

hi all!

a friend requested me to ask about this LED....

it is mounted on a dentist tool. He wishes to find a similar for a mod.

anychnace it is the same with this?

Any chance one can spot the type or even the firm that makes it?

The Cree you linked to has a square base that's larger than the round lens area but the dental tool doesn't so I would think that is not it. What type of dental tool: Curing (deep blue), illuminated mirror (cool white)? Might be a clue.

It's probably not a Cree LED as it has no bond wires and has a square strip in the middle, not any Lumiled/Luxeon product as well. Hm...looks like a Seoul semiconductor Z5 but im not sure. It would help if you posted the size/dimensions etc.

probably at most a 1W device.
It only has two bond wires: one for anode, one for cathode.
Doesn't look like it has a dome either.
