Streamlight 4AA 7LED & Lithiums??

Would it be safe or would I damage the LEDs?

I have the SL 4AA LED ProPoly, I would strongly advise against using liths in it. On the side of my flashlight, embossed in the plastic it states: Use alkaline cells only. I heeded the warning. I think that someone on the board already tried it and all seven LEDs went SKP.

(Acronym SKP = Snap Krackle Pop)
