Streamlight C4 LED on protected 17670?

I've tried to get this question answered in the LED forum, but with no luck. So I thought I'd ask here:

Does anyone know if the new Streamlight Polytac/NF-2/SL-2/Scorpion C4 LED lights will run on a Li-ion protected 17670, or do they need 6 volts?
