Hi folks. I just picked up one of the new microstreams from a local store. I had one that I ordered about a month ago but decided to pick up a new one. I wanted one that had a better centered led (you know how picky we are here at CPF). When I examined it I was shocked to discover that, at least to me the led appeared to be a XP-E. The first one that I purchased was a XP-C as I would have expected.

Does anyone know if this is a fluke or is streamlight changing leds? Has anyone else noticed? Also, what seems strange to me is that the top of the threads on the body of the light where the top screws on seemed like it was double threaded on both. Anyone else have that issue? I thought it was just a bad one that I got but both had it.

Here are some photos. I focused the light with a magnifying glass on the ceiling so that the form of the led is apparent.

First microstream I got:

second one I just got yesterday:

The second one looks to me to be xp-e while the first xp-c
