Hi Guys, (and girls) I am new here and have a question. I am looking at purchasing a new 'Twin Task Light' from streamlight. It has the xenon bulb and then some led's. I think its about 65 lumins. What mods can I make to get the most out of it? I have the abilities to solder, ad parts such as resisters etc. so I'm looking to do something really strong with it. Any ideas??

If you like Luxeon. Try to change xenon blub to LuxeonIII but make sure to well heat transfer. Current from fresh NiMH battery is around 1 amp and draw to 400 mA after 2 hours.

Or you can make two stage switch from existing switch plus 1 channel with resistor. Remove old bulb and old reflex to new reflex and luxeonIII. You will get new flashlight similar to Luxeon tasklight but can use two stage switch.

I am not familiar with Luxeon. Are there any articles on this? What is the difference in brighteness?

lUXEON are whiter than incandescent lamp and useful for short distance use. The side spill of light is more useable than the existing light which give only long throw.

Try it for luxeon flashlivght.
