I've recently purchased a Streamlight Sidewinder, seller said it was all in working condition and I'm inclined to believe that as well, but when it arrived it had some issues.
When the light is turned on and the head is rotated it turns off or starts changing brightness, more often than not it has to be in a certain position to even turn on. I've already contacted the people in charge of all that here, but it'd amuse me greatly to hear what other people have experienced and think about this problem. It seems the hinge might be two contact plates, in that case just dousing it with alcohol and moving it would work, but if there's something else off with it and an even easier fix that'd be appreciated.
