Streamlight Stinger DS?

Looking at getting a Stinger DS, but I'd like to know from those who've had one for a while how is it holding up? If not good I'll get a plain-jean Stinger.

Got my dad one, he has been using it over a year with no problems, and he's hard on stuff. It's a very good light.

How is the "real-world" battery life?

I have had one of the Streamlight Stinger DS LED HP for a few years now and like it muchly. Battery life is OK but I have two other Streamlight batteries constantly on chargers so I don't actually think about it that much.

The Stinger DS HP is very much a thrower with very little usable spill except for up close.
