Hi,

My brother inlaw gave me an old and beat up looking StingerXT without a charger, that why he gave it away.

Can I get a charger alone? I don't mind take out the battery and charge it with some generic charger.
Can I even take out the battery? Look like I can take out the lense and the reflector, but don't see anywhere to take out the batteries.

Thank you for helping.

The Streamlight Stinger XT should unscrew on the bottom as well to expose the battery stick (3.6volt sub-C ni-cad) The threading is located right where the rubber non-slip grip ends on the body of the light. However, it may be tough to remove the first time if the light hasn't been serviced recently (lubricated, cleaned, etc.).

I have both the wall charger and the12volt one as well as a cradle, however, right now I am at college and thus will not be able to access them for about teh next 3 weeks :-(. However, I would be more than happy to ship them to you if you are willing to wait. I no longer am using the stock battery (thanks to BVH for the bulbs and ksbman for organizing the opportunity to choose such a great light last year) and thus I would be happy to send the parts off to someone who needs them.

You could charge the battery seperate as it is only a ni-cd stick. However, you would need about 4.5 termination voltage
