Streamlight Strion LED HP Vs. Streamlight Strion LED

I was looking at a Streamlight Strion LED HP and Streamlight Strion LED. What benefit is there to the HP head?

The HP head is supposed to make the beam narrower and increase range. I use the regular Strion LED on an AR and it is plenty bright. I had a regular Stinger HP before the LED versions had the C4 LED, and liked the beam pattern of the regular Stinger better.
