Got one, in my bag as we leave for vacation. Same body as the 3AA Lux, 3 LED's/ Xenon. I have never had a three AA light before. Like them both. 4.5 volt nice Xenon, simple to stick them thru the belt to carry. Easy, cheap AA battery supply. 2.6 hr. Xenon, 80 hr. LEDS.
The slim profile is pleasing, and I really like them. My Titanium (polished Aluminum) finish looks great.
Greg at BrightGuy called SL, and they said that NONE of the TTs that do not use Lithiums (CR123) are recommended for use with AA Lithiums, and such use would void the warranty. I think they learned their lesson with the 4AA 7LED Propolymer first model that fried a lot of LEDS.
Thats like handgun manufacturers not condoning handloads; they don't want to replace guns for overstressing them.
That said, I hope someone takes the chance and lets us know how they do. (I also use handloads in my pistols).
