Help Support Candle Power:

Hi,
Mine just turned up in the mail this morning. Initial impressions are quite good. I bought it because it was cheap. £8.95 about $14.32 from 7dayshop here in the UK.
Come with 3 AAA batteries and has a very focused beam in flashlight mode. In lantern mode it looks alot like one of those solar powered garden lights. I wait till tonight to test is properly. I think it would made a good candle replacement in case of a power outtage. I will try to do a proper review and add it to my site later.

I found one of these (all plastic model) at an Eddie Bauer store a few months ago for $12. Not a bad little light, at least for emergency lighting. The beam is kinda funky with lots of concentric rings, but the hotspot is quite white and focused and it has surprisingly good throw (almost as good as Cool Blue). It probably would not stand up very well to dropping or drowning, but if you're gentle with your toys, like me, it should last long.

I saw a bunch of those lights for around $6.00 at an Eddie Bauer store a month or two ago. I didn't get one because I thought a wouldn't use it.

I also saw the sale... though I think the body on mine is all plastic (no aluminum). Not a fabulous light in either mode, but for six bucks, I'm happy.
