I've got a few questions about the Strider pouch I have below:

  1. Are these still available anywhere?
  2. How much did/do they sell for?
  3. Are they pretty water resistant?
  4. Does the liner material wick moisture away from the knife contained therein, or is it just a cushioning material?

I've had this one for quite some time, but never used it. It resides in a storage bin with a few other misc items that I use for photos. It still has that heavy, oily canvas smell to it even.

Anyway, here's a couple pics of what I'm talking about:

Thanks!

No fluffy liner wicks moisture away from an inanimate object. That only works with humans and other critters that wear clothing. (has to do with body temp and the pumping action that comes from moving around in your clothing.)

In fact, that lining will only serve to trap and hold moisture against your knife. This is why you should never store knives or guns inside of any padded case.
