Just received the new streamlight strion c 4 led. heres the quick and dirty.

1 Very nicely machined body with nice coating. multiple ribs , good grip.
2 very nice clicky on the end of tailcap, Not too sensitive , just right imo.
3 lens is glass not plastic:thumbsup:
4 nice combination of throw and peripheral beam and light, not as much throw as my 7060, but better periphery than the pelican, the color of the beam is nice and white. I can't. detect any blue cast to the beam.

5 mutimode is nice but lowest setting should be much lower(10 lumens) still too brite.
high is always the first click, You must press and hold to cycle thru the lower modes, high is alway the first on, a must for LE/ tacticle use. strobe is a quick double click away.

This is a great light You can always have with you, and the price is competitive considering the li ion rechargeble battery, 12vdc and 110 charger included.

I think sl will sell a lot of these. Hope this helps this is My first review for cpf, I'll try to improve.:D

Thanks for the review...I am considering this light. How does overall brightness compare to the 7060 (a light I have also had) or a Fenix T series...Olight etc.... also, is the beam ringy or not? Is the led centered?

Thanks again for the review!

Not as bright overall as the 7060, led seems to be centered, has a larger hot spot with a big peripheral ring. so to my eye i see two definite rings.

I agree that the low output on the Strion LED (and the Polystinger LED) is way too bright. There is nothing "low" about it, but I guess it does serve as a high output setting with a longer runtime.

I think you would have to have a very low power setting for map reading, close quarters, etc. I would have to think its possible to build a light with a low mode. I find it hard to believe sl and others (who sell to LE) have not thought of a lower mode.

BTW, Powernoodle great job on Your review of the polystinger c4 led:thumbsup:, It was tough for me to pick the 7060 over the SL PS but the li on in the 7060 sold me, I would like to see a side by side comparison of the two someday .
