Hey guys,

First and foremost what a great forum!!!

Just a bit of background on what i've used so far in my journey into flashlights, I was interested after watching the film "Kick ***" where the daughter uses a strobe function on a torch light, after a bit of googling, up came the Led Lenser mt7, great! So I purchased the product, worked great but the instructions were terrible and did not show how to cycle through the functions. Eventually the strobe function was not attainable anymore and within months I swapped it for another one. Again the same thing happened and now i'm stuck with a torch that has only has the function to light up and not strobe anymore.

Long story short, i'd like a function where the torch can provide a strobe function.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

The M series of Led Lensers are programmable. Maybe you've changed the mode options. I think there's info on their website and several reviews on Youtube that might help you out.

Personally I think strobe is quite a specific mode and should be completely hidden but instantly accessible. I can't see the point of a strobe function that is hard/time consuming to access or one that gets in the way of normal operation.

In my opinion Klarus offer the best UI for accessing strobe so maybe take a look. Afraid I have no idea what sort of size, beam profile, battery source or price point you are looking at.

I can say the XT11 is a good versatile pocket light that should cover most bases.

The new Crelant V9CS has a good UI and instant access strobe mode too, although the Klarus is probably a better light overall.

+2 to Klarus UI being very easy to access, but the strobe pattern might not be to your liking since it has 2 different patterns that it alternates through.

That might be something else to consider and unfortunately something that most reviewers tend to overlook while making a review, so it probably wont be easy to know what strobe pattern a light has until you buy it.

I think the newer Klarus lights work the same as my NT20 does. If you hold the button down you'll get a constant strobe mode, release the button and it'll then alternate. So you actually get two different strobe programs.
