Surefire A2 MODing?

I just "stole" an A2 with white LEDs and after looking at it a bit I was confused as to why they made it with both a bulb AND LEDs :thinking: .

Then I thought this would be a cool light to MOD ............ if I knew anything about MODing of course .

So I decided to do a search here for "A2". Well.......THAT didn't work, too short, so I tried other searches and came up with Zip, Nada, nutt'n. I guess I'm as inept at searches as I am MODing.

Does anybody MOD these and is it something worth doing?

so I needed the " * ".

What's the advantage of the incandecent though? It just seems that throwing (yeah right) in one of the high efficient LEDs in place of the bulb would be a good idea or am I missing something?

Yes. That ol' Bird is one of the very few CPFers who has a valid licence to mod an A2. These licences are very difficult to get hold of - you need to apply to js for one if you are serious about this. The exam is pretty tough, so you will have to put in a lot of study.
