I know that questions like these get asked all the time and i dont want to be a pain but does anyone know what the throw is like on the surefire E1B and does anyone have any beamshots. Tried searching but nothing.

They throw extremely well, while also producing a pretty nice beam with usable spill. This generation of Surefire TIR optics are really good IMO.

I just bought one, it's an AMAZING light for it's size. Very strong beam with a lot of usable spill as mentioned.

I have been thinking about buying another one, it's that good!! I'm holding out for an optimus or invictus however....:candle:

I agree with what everyone says about this light.
Amazing output from such a small package, nice smooth finish.Pocket friendly too.
This light works very well with a Tenergy 3V RCR123 LiFeP04 cell.,I get about 39min. of regulated output.
I've lit up objects well over 200ft away with this little light.Gotta love that TIR Optic.
Sometimes i EDC this light with a couple charged cells in my pocket, knowing that i have about 2hrs of (free)regulated output in case i need it makes me feel good.
I highly recommend this light, they should of called it Primary not Backup.

Yup, agree with ya'll; it's a great little light that I use at work every day.

But the short and sweet for prospective buyers is that the E1B is a thrower, not a floody.
However, it's much better than just a "pencil" beam, and it does offer useable spill for lots of situations.

If you want it to be a major floody, just slip an F04 over it. Then you'll have nothing but floody.

That's what i love about the TIR Optic. It's a compromise of throw with usable blended side spill and a medium spot and as mentioned above slap on a F04 and you have a room sweeper.

Great light!
I just got one to complement my E1L outdoorsman, pretty much the same except the backup is a little brighter and starts out on high, while the outdoorsman starts out on low and runs just a bit longer.
I would get both, you would love either one though.
