Surefire E1e tailcap question

I just got a new black e1e, but the tailcap is not a clickt. Pressing gives momentary on, but turning tailcap does not give constant-on as other tailcaps. Is this a faulty tailcap or is this the way it was designed? With the setup there is no constant on, only momentary-on which has to be pressed throughout use.

Does your tailcap have a "dimple" like the one on the right in this picture? Is www.surefire.com printed on the end of the tailcap like this one or is it printed on the side of the tailcap?

Nope, no dimple on the tailcap.

If it says surefire.com on the side, as opposed to the end, then it's a clicky that ain't clickin'. Call Surefire; they'll send you a new tailcap without your even having to send yours back to them.
