A couple of questions for my new light:

1)When do you know when to replace the batteries? Will it go dim first or will it just not turn on?

2)What brand of battery should I use?

3) Good place to buy 123A batteries?

Answer 1: I have found with the E2DL, and its little brother the E1B, that it will continue to function on high until the batteries are nearly empty, then there comes a point when it will appear to only come on in low. How long that lasts I can't say, but it gives you at least a short time to change. To answer the question more simply, when do you know? You'll know.

Answer 2: Don't cheap out, especially with a flashlight that takes a pair of CR123A as opposed to a single cell, you will end up paying for it eventually. Any USA made brand is 'CPF approved', including the Surefire brand, and many users (including me) get the batterystation brand from here. They also do a CPF special, a box of 50 for (I think....) $65 shipped. I'm not sure exactly as my shipping is obviously different.

Answer 3: See answer 2 :)
