surefire e2e

this is my 1st post so please be kind.
is there a replacement bulb/lamp for the e2e rated at 3.7v?

Welcome to CPF. There is no 3.7V incandescent drop in that will withstand two CR123's, 6+ volts. You could use, for example, use a Lumens Factory 3.7 volt incandescent LA drop-in with one 17650 Lithium Ion battery, if the battery fits in the E2E.

yes i was looking to use a 17650 battery. i still couldnt find that drop in. i will look again.

I really like using a Lumens Factory EO-E1R in my E2D. I had to use a dremel to hog out part of the interior of the body, but a 17670 fits now.

If you are using a two cell body I recommend using two lithium rechargeable batteries like IMR16340's and going with a 7.2V lamp (like the EO-E2R) instead of the 3.7V, it's brighter.

Be in minded that not ALL 17670/17650 fits E2e
Some might require boring of body
MOST protected will NOT fit
Unprot. ,not sure, havnt tried any
Best deal: 8.4V(As long as its 2-celled) Lumensf@ctory incan bulb
Because protected 16340 fit for most case
