UPS tracking says it's "Out for Delivery"....

I've got 12 batteries, the G2 and a case.... what is a good "first accessory" for this light?

Case?

If I was starting out with the G2, I'd get an SC1 Spares Carrier and P61 High Output Lamp Assembly.

I wouldn't get any more accessories for your G2 then you know you'll really need because otherwise you may not have enough money to buy your next SureFire as soon as you want!

Enjoy your G2!

Did I type case.... I meant "holster"... that first cup of coffee hasn't kicked in yet, I guess....

The next thing I'll be waiting for is ..... Nightfall....

You know... I was looking at the P61- it is really that much brighter?

BTW- the TT 3AA and the ARC AAA went camping with me last weekend- both performed well. (and got a few comments from other campers)..

Charlie, the P61 is substantially brighter than the P60, it's a good option to have available.

I second the SC1 spares carrier.

I recommend the Z34 Lanyard. It fits the G2 and includes two rings so that you can mount behind the bezel or between the tailcap and body. You can leave the ring on the light and attach the lanyard when you don't care to wear the holster. Only 13 bucks.

PS: All of these accessories are compatible with certain other Surefire lights, the SF site tells you which.

Charlie,
How about a Pila 3.7v 80 lumen lamp and 168S rechargeable battery. It's brighter that the P60 (not as bright as the P61) and you won't have to worry about batteries. Granted the initial investment in the Pila batts can be steep, but considering the cost of 123's and runtime, you will come out way ahead with the Pila setup.

I also have a G2 on its way, when it gets here, I'm turning it into a rechargeable. The good thing about the Pila 168S batt is that you'll also be able to use it to drive that KL1, KL3 or L4 you know you're gonna get sooner or later. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think that the battery and charger where $76 delivered. The Pila 3.7v LA is another $17, but keep in mind that these will work in any Surefire 2x123 light, except the E series. The batt will work with the E Series, but the LA will not. I'm working on that though.

Got the light-

Very nice- well made. Feels good in the hand, switch operates well. About the same brightness as the Brinkman LX, but with a much better beam- I'm pleased with it. I'll give it a try when it gets dark outside- I have a feeling it's going camping with me as the "big light" (replacing the *much* larger "lantern battery" spot light).

Most fun accessories are a really dark spot and a buddy with a stock mini-mag /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Took it in the side yard after dark.... man, you can really see the difference when you want to light something 100ft away..... whew.... gotta get the P61 head.... that must be awesome.

Ditto. It's not obvious when shining both against a wall, but the P61 lights up a country road quite nicely. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
