I have a Surefire M3 and wanted to get a KL6 for it.
But I found out that the L7 is just around $40 extra and 10 lumens more than KL6.

Can the L7 Throw as far as the KL6?

Is there any member who has experience or used both, and can advice me which to get?

Thanks

As I understand it, the L7 is a rechargable? Unless you specifically wanted that for use in-house, The KL6 would be a big addition to the versatility of your M3. I don't think the average person could discern a 10 lumen difference so I discount that as a factor. I have come to the conclusion that my L6 head would be a great backup to my M3 as a shockproof, long runtime (90 min. regulated @ 80 lumens), shorter range option. I plan to use this light combo on my shotgun. It DOES have 80-100yd. illumination capability with both eyes open, but you can cut that range in half if you close one eye to aim or fire. The 5w LED is seated in a very deep reflector to push the lumens out that far, so don't expect much side-spill. All of the incandescents are much better for spill.

Hope this helps.

My L7 is brigher and much whiter than my L6.
And my L6 is modded with a 1000mA db converter
