Surefire L5 Discontinued ?

Does anyone know if the Surefire L5 is being discontinued ? Thought I read some where that it was ?

To the best of my knowledge yes. I don't think they make Luxeon 5 LEDs for them anymore. I'm sure there's still plenty of stock around to pick one up if you really want one, but new MC-E lights completely blow away the old Luxeon 5 chips that are in the L5, L2, L4, L6, L7.

For now, they are still available, but since the KL5 was updated to the KL5A it no longer uses a Luxeon LED.
