I was at a trade show and heard about a 2 CR123 light based on Surefire G2 that will be marketed to Firemen. Bright yellow G2 type body and Lanyard, KX3 head, Clicky tailcap, 3 light levels. Anyone else hear anything?

3 mode G2 style light sounds pretty sweet.

that would look odd...very odd, assuming the "KX3" goes through anodization and comes out olive like its brothers and then mated on to a yellow plastic G2:poke:

The one I saw had a black head and tailcap. The heads did not look like the old KL series heads they were more tapered. They had 2 versions one with a tir and one with a reflector.

This should be interesting. Anyone know how 123's handle heat? I haven't seen many intrinsically safe devices that use lithium batteries.

Since the G2 uses a nitrolon shell, I think the cells are shielded from both conductive and radiating heat...plus from Seery's observations running M6 + MN21 using surefire cells...I think they can take it, unless the fireman dropped it. that's a whole other situation altogether
