Surefire M2 Bezel

I have a C3-HA and I want to get an M2-HA bezel for it. I've seen pictures of M2 bezels retrofitted, so where do you folks get them? I'd like to find someplace with a reasonable delivery time. Do I *have* to go straight through Surefire?

Odd, because I have talked with LPS, they said they'd get back to me with a price, and it's been weeks. I'll try them again.

I'm trying to find someplace with the part in stock, and avoid dealing with SF directly unless necessary.

lps and sableco is the only place i've ever seen that carries sf parts. other than that, it's sf direct.

I bought one awhile back from another member to put on a 6P. Then I bought a 6PSN to mount on my shotgun instead so I sold the Bezel.

stingray, have you tested that setup thoroughly? the batteries slam into the la during recoil and lack of shock isolated bezel on a 6P wouldn't last too long on a shotgun.

I haven't mounted the new one yet, but the 6PSN has a shock isolated bezel. It comes with the Z32 bezel, same as what's on some of the weapon lights. What it doesn't have though, is a battery compartment with the retaining ring to isolate the batteries from the lamp compartment. I'm going to use heat shrink tubing to try to prevent the batteries from slamming into each other or the lamp.

Yeah, that's what the S is for in the model name. The 6PN is not shock isolated, just waterproof. I don't think they make the 6PSN anymore, just the 6PN. At least I haven't seen any anywhere but here and ebay lately.

The big ASPI sale last year had a bunch of 6PSN's for sale, like 50 or 60 I think. Good prices too, wish I had picked up a few back then. It was right before I joined CPF so I didn't know the market value and scarcity of things when I got their flyer, otherwise my credit card would be in much worse shape. They had a bunch of 6P turbohead lights too, for something like $79 or so. The heads alone are worth more than that I think. The old 3" ones. I still don't own a turbohead, alas, I'm turboheadless. Apologies for straying off-topic - but regarding the SF123 batteries being used in a weaponlight or weaponlight attachment via a 6P or other SI or non-SI bezel - I have shot an incredible amount of munitions over the years with my SF weaponlights on my shotguns and I honestly doubt you would have any problems using (2) SF123 batteries (as opposed to the single stick). The setup I've been using has exclusively been with (2) cells.

Actually, I'd be more concerned with the handgun mounted weaponlights and the batteries (single stick vs set of two) that are used in there since it rides much closer to the frame below the firing chamber where recoil is as pronounced as the back of the thumbstrap. But just my lousy theory...

Anyway, bottom line is, the batteries I've replaced in the shotgun mounted weaponlights did not appear to be damaged or deformed in any way.

I think you still have the right idea though (shrinkwrap) since I don't think it'll hurt, plus, it makes for a great speed load for batteries. To tell you the truth, I like that idea and am going to give it a try myself - what kind of washer are you going to use?

I was going to make a washer out of thick felt to put between the batteries. I also thought about using some thick gasket material.

Just got my M2-HA bezel from Brightguy. Looks good on the C3. I've got a digital camera on loan, once I dust off my old photography books, I'll post some pictures.
