Hey everyone,

Has anyone compared/contrasted the the throw between the M3 Turbo and the M6 Gardian? Does the M6 throw just the same distance only with more brightness?

Thats a great website to show beamshots. I have an added question to the M6 owners, how is the side spill? is the M6 all throw, or can you walk a wooded path at night and see off to the sides easily? Thx.

It will light a wooded path and then some!

The M6 is like holding a cars headlight in your hand. It will light the path, its surroundings, the dark side of the moon, etc...
While the M6 puts out some light I do not think it's the ideal light for hiking.

To my eyes the there is not a significant difference in throw in that the M6 allows you to see more, more clearly compared to the M3T.

OnlineWarLord, if you own one, and I am seriously looking at one, tell me why I should get it, verses the M4, or the M3. My feelings, if your going to spend big bucks, do it once, do it right. Thanks.

I'm the former owner of an early model M6 that I got here on CPF at a great price. The M6 is bright, no doubt about that. It just wasn't right for me. Using one of rechargeable options in the M6 would make it an outstanding light, but that wasn't available for me at the time...

The M6 is an incredible light but unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to use an M3 or M4 to make a comparison.Yet.

Batman - I know you didn't ask about this one, but don't forget the Surefire X10. Has M6-like output in a rechargeable package with factory support. And its 2-stage. Plus, after much waiting, it looks like SF is about to release a kydex holster for the dang thing. :)

The lack of a factory rechargeable option for the M6 has kept me from jumping in.

peace

Yes, I see. But I have heard that the M6 out-throws the 10X,..true?

Not really to my eyes. It's true that the 10X puts out more a wall of light than the M6 (MN21) but I don't think theres much between any difference in throw.

Al, in the HOLA mode for the 10X are both lamps activated? If so, that means 500 lumens + 60/110 lumens = I'll take the 10X over the M6 anyday.

Yes, both lamps are activated, and it's clearly brighter than the m6 on hola.
