SureFire Nitrolon (P) Series

Anyone here own one of these? I just finished up my Caspian 1911 (w/Recon Rail) for school and it needs to wear a good quality light. The guy at SureFire said the Nitrolons won't fit Picatinny/Universal rails and they can only be put on pistols without a rail, using the supplied triggerguard adapter. I've seen pistols wearing the Nitrolons without the adapter, but I want to make sure before I order. So, does anyone with a pistol w/rail have a Nitrolon and can tell me if it fits? Thanks in advance.

You can modify the P101 to fit directly to a rail but I'm not sure the finer details other than you need a 'dremel'... I guess this is a better question for the 1911 forum?

Unless you want to use the P61 High Output Lamp Assembly (which to be honest is what I'd use), why not get an X200A - it fits on the Picatinny rail without modification. It's smaller, more light-weight, longer runtime, waterproof, better switching and is an LED which means it's really tough!
