Surefire sent me more B90\'s

CK32 code. These are supposed to be "tested" . Anyway I charged them up. Charge took about 1/2 hour. First one got very hot at the rear of the battery. Second one took about 20 minutes and remained cool to the touch. I'll let them sit a few days and see how much charge they retain.

Hope these are good, I'm tired of this.

Well, I've been playing with this "new" (CK32) set of batteries since last friday when they arrived. I charged one of them up and dropped it in my gear bag, it has not been used yet and I'll test it on friday or saturday. The other Batterie has been used a little and I have not run any type of real test on it. After 24 hours it seems to be holding a charge. I used the light at night for about a total of 15 minutes or so, maybe a little more. I popped it in the charger and it took about 7 minutes for it to return to a full charge. I'll probably run the light later tonight to see how long it runs after 24 hours. Maybe there are a few of them that work as they should.

One thing to note is that the light quality is a little on the yellow side. I should say I have been using a Wolf-Eyes M90 at 135 Lumens and Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries and that flashlight just blasts pure white light in a near perfect focus, maybe I'm spolied by the quality and color of the light in this light and it affected my judgement on the Surefire 8NX.

Friday I ran the second battery down and timed it. I charged this one exactly one week previous. It ran for almost 40 minutes . I guess this set of B90's is OK.

Problem is I have gone to the Li-Ion powered PILA lights and man the light output and quality just blows the 8NX away. 135 lumens, 80 minutes run time. I ordered the smaller G3 I hope the SF filters from the 8Nx fit.

Surefire recently sent me a set of replacements, also CK32's.

I charged mine and let it sit in a drawer for a week, then tested it yesterday. Same great results for me as you had! I'm so very happy!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

(I have gotten used to the Tigerlight recently, esp. since the 8nx wasn't working well for so long. I also find that the 8nx pales in comparison to that beam, but it sure is easier to carry with me.)

Wow that's a lot of reads but no posts. Everybody wants to know!

Thanks for the report madecov (and binky). I am still waiting on mine from Surefire. Hope I get the CK's if your experience is anything to judge by.
