I received the light today. Scratch free and working well. I hope you reconsider doing pistol lights this one is a winner. Yes, they are expensive Surefire is proud of their products. Streamlight TLR1 is half the price and slightly shorter.

Got mine too!! Beam is perfect for CQB but don't get to close to a white wall with it or the bounce will kill your vision. Took it outside and the throw on this is pretty insane as well. Does get hot quick on high but low is very usable for most tasks.

Can you mod a E2D Defender Ultra to increase output and retain the TIR optic?

Sorry I still don't mod surefires. This light is just an exception.

Wayne, if I source the XHP50 emitter and send it to you, would you be able to build up one for 2*IMR use using DriverVN? If needed, I would even purchase the light.
