A bit more info would help...

What voltage does it have to operate on, how much voltage/current does it have to switch?

Re: Switching IC\'s

To operate off of 1.5 volt battery and switch maybe say 500mA. I want to make a push on- push off switch which uses a momentary micro switch.
Thanks!

Re: Switching IC\'s

Hello there,

If you are willing to use two small pushbutton switches
(like those 0.2 inch square kinds) you can make one
button 'push on', the other 'push off', which would
make a VERY simple circuit using a power FET with a
low leakage cap on it's gate. One switch would charge
the cap and the other would discharge it.
You'd have to make sure it couldnt enter the linear
region unless it would handle the power.
Perhaps you could mention the voltage supply being
used also.

Even better...

A 'latch' circuit made by cross coupling two logic
inverters (probably CMOS) driving the gate of a power
FET.

Take care,
Al

Re: Switching IC\'s

I want one switch to do the toggling. A toggle flip flop would be nice if it would work down to say .8 volts.
