For a white LS, a T5U would be a terrible bin (or does not exist)! But if you were a dentist, your eyes would light up! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Introducing the LXHL-PRD5, binned T5U with minimum radiometric power of 755 mW and maximum radiotmetric power of 875mW!!!. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Open you mouth and say "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now, what on earth would a CPFer do with it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

In the luxeon lottery, you have just crapped out! Pardon my mixed metaphors.

This is the first luxeon I have heard of with a higher letter for forward voltage than for luminous flux.

Sorry,
Pat

Your've changed your Avatar! I like your other one better. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Oh re the "cr@p out".... for a white LS, I definately "cr@pped out" but this is a blue, dental blue, LS. There is only 1 bin better, that is the U bin. Remember, this is for a dental blue /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

you were supposed to send that db to me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif

dental blue is a few nanometers off of royal blue... basically marketed to dentists to cure thier dental epoxies that require UV light. I cannot imagine a dentist taking the time to make a light to do this however. WAIT, mabey this could be a marketing tool for you MR. B!!! LOL

I was privy to see completed ones in action. The curing wand looks like a bent electric toothbrush. It has a 2 part heatsink and the emitter is mounted on the tip. There is a small lens covering the emitter. Optical effects are neglible. It is used mainly to stop contact between a patient's mouth and the wand. It is powered by a 1200mAh 8.4v rechargeable LiIon battery.
