Teflon wire necessary for p7?

I've been reading that people are using 22-24awg "teflon" wire for their p7 mods. Can someone explain why this is necessary and where to buy (in US (PA)). Why wouldn't regular stranded 22 awg wire work as well?

You can use every kind of wire. Teflon- Silicon- PVC- enameled copper wire...

Teflon & Silicon (& enameled) will not melt during soldering and makes soldering very easy.

Mudman cj over here is selling teflon wire, he's got 24 gauge, but is out of 22 at the moment.
