I am looking to get a few 18650's to replace the old stock I have for use with led flashlights and came upon this protected 18650 with 2600 mah capacity

http://www.batteryjunction.com/2600pcb-18650.html

Since most of the protected 18650's I seen are rated at 2200 mah, is this one using a better/upgraded battery? Can someone confirm this is the actual capacity of the battery?

Thanks

Check the lithium ion battery shootout thread, (stick at the top of this forum) but I've yet to find any battery of any brand that actually has the rated capacity...

Thanks! I did read that one, but there are no 2600mah batteries tested, the Tenergy tested there came close at 2.16mah at 1 amp discharge so maybe the 2.6ah could give 2.5ah at 1 amp discharge.

Does anyone have this 2.6ah cell and would like to comment? I wonder if they are using LG batteries

I have two of them for use in my MRV SE, but don't have any way of doing capacity tests...only have an Ultrafire WF-139 cheapie charger.

They're fresh off the charger, so I'll get a runtime on high tonight. Don't know if that'll help any, but it's something.

While not scientific by any means, my MRV SE with the Tenergy 2600mAh protected 18650 lasted six hours. At that time I got tired...literally. It had very good, and usable, light output for four hours easily.

I'm thinking about getting a Bantam BC8 and could do tests at that time...
