tenergy BC-1HU with pre charged bats?

I have a Tenergy Speedy Box, moodel BC-1HU for NiMh and NiCad, and was wondering if I can charge the new NiMh Pre-Charged Energizer LSD batteries in it?

Hello Needforspeed,

Yes, but...

Keep an eye on the cell temperatures during the first few charges. The charge rate for the Speedy Box is a little low and it has been known to miss a charge termination with new cells occasionally.

Once you have a few cycles on your cells, it should work fine.

Keep in mind that it uses a charge rate that is outside of the "ideal" range of 0.5 - 1.0C recommend by the battery manufacturers when charging with a charger that utilizes -dV termination.

The speedy box has let a few of my D cells sit and cook a couple of times when new, but nothing since.
