He specifically denied it's because of quality reasons, and made in u.s. cells would qualify them to be supplied to the military. I don't want to go dig it up right now but I'm sure if you can find it if you try. Unless you can find proof otherwise I would say it's false information.

I dug around CPF and google search for 15 minutes and that was about all I could find other than a comment from someone from someone(not affiliated with batterystation) about a "rumor" on a military contract. So unless you can find a post from batterystation on the matter I'm going to assume that I'm right :) Whatever the reason he switched it's a good thing. If my cells and a few other posters with similar issues are any indication, it's a good thing they did switch to US cells, as the chinese ones are inconsistent. I'm sure the chinese are perfectly capapble of making a top class battery, but I can't recommend them over similarly priced US made ones after experiencing the wonder of mismatched brand new cells firsthand.

Guys... at least try to stay on topic. I keep getting notifications on my phone saying new reply and they are all about something which belongs in another thread... I subscribe to threads to read about the OP's topic...

Sorry if it's harsh, however, it's hard enough to read let alone type a response on my phone and I just feel you should take this elsewhere as it's quickly becoming a back and forth...he said he said thing

Thanks :twothumbs

Because the forum search and google search kinda sucks, which is why I don't feel like go look it up to begin with. I know what I have read, but if you don't want to believe it I'm not going to argue about it.
