Gets vert hot in about 3 minutes. Better than I thought.
Uses 21700 of course.
SFT40s are pointless for this light

1 or 2 21700s?

One of the unique appeals about the OwlEyes is that in its default configuration with the two Osram Emitters, it could run Turbo continuously with no heat problems, and hold a near constant output for over an hour. SBT90s are so power hungry and hot, that they kind of take away from that attraction. I would have thought maybe the SFT40s would provide the same intensity and heat generation as the Osrams, but maybe a little more output.

3 minutes with 2 SBT90s is pretty impressive though; plenty of time to scan an area without worrying about the light stepping down too quickly.

I was surprised how long it took to heat up.

Hello All!

I hope everyone's 2022 is moving along smoothly. Ours has been great. Family is healthy and safe which is mostly what I care about!

Now onto lights:
If you are looking for a tactical light I would seriously consider one of these 2. I prefer the XT21Cvn. It's so perfect for the job I can't think of a single thing to improve.

If you are on a $70 budget then look no further. When this much performance and quality can be had for $70 it's kinda of irresponsible to spend more on a flashlight. yeah I just said that.

Lux Signifer Charity efforts are still moving along. Our balance is $3990 ATM. We welcome donation anytime. I promise even more than 100% donated actually goes out to the needy. If you know of a needy situation let me know and we will see how we can help also.

OwlEyesVN is one of those light that you don't need. But boy it is a fun light. Makes me giggles just like the MYT90vn+ when I take it out.

I am not a fan of 18650 headlamps but here are a couple good ones:

Couple of nice ONE-OFFs FW3vn90

Always wanted a X50vn? There is a line already :)

Added a bunch more clearance stuff:

That's all folks! Take care!

Recycled AB X10 anyone?

Definitely similar. Probably will be better throwing and more compact because of optics as opposed to reflectors.

I'd be more interested in a light that has D4S sized optics, but in a larger array.

Okay, I'll ask.. what in the heck is that (is that a ping pong ball?) lantern contraption on bezel #20?

It's a pretty smart lantern attachment actually.
You would remove the stainless strike bezel and then just put it on top of the lantern and screw the lantern on top of the head. The stainless Strike bezel goes on top of the lantern so you won't lose it. The strike bezel also allow the lantern to headstand if your tail cap won't allow tail stand.

Also is a bunch of dedomed 519As a possibility for either the D4S or MT07?
