I have been collecting lights for 20 years on and off and much more so since joining this club. I have found the only two lights I need for any interested.
1. Malkoff Valiant twisty 123 body with a M61LLW drop in. It will run out of regulation for a month or more in a pinch, light diffused film to spread the 60lumens or so out.
2. Malkoff AA body with M31L. Everyone needs a AA hurricane proof light. Earthquakes if you live on the West Coast.
3. Malkoff WildCat, any version (I have 2.0). It's just awesome. Two 18650's are best for long runtime. It's if you need to spot zombies a quarter mile away.
4. Malkoff M61 versions if you can't get to your M60 shelf queen fast enough. Any body configuration is fine but the M2 is a classic.
5. Oveready 1600 lumen triple L/M/H. 1600 man, are you kidding!? It fits in your pocket. If you put it on 'high' it keeps your hands warm in the winter.
6. Spark headlamp. Because Malkoff hasn't made one yet. Headlamps are a must for finding the poor souls in CA earthquakes and mudslides. Hands free.
7. My HDS clicky custom neutral. It's a tank. You can't have mine.
8. A Malkoff Maglite, any variant. Ultra reliable, and you'll need to use those C and D cells at some point. You know you will.
That's it! These are the only two lights you'll need; I hope you enjoyed this list. Remember you only have two hands but carry at least 3 on your person at any given time. Zombies don't care if you're prepared or not.
