I ran across this a while back while hunting for the perfect battery dispenser for our house. To say we love it to death is an understatement. :D So I figured to share it with you guys. Yes, you have to build it yourself, but the nice part is you can also customize it to your need. :D Overall it works pretty darned good, and we even modified the design a bit and added a pair of small drawers at the bottom into which we put all our pen and other odd sized batteries. One minor recommendation I have is to make sure your backing material is strong enough to hold the weight you expect to carry in the unit or it'll disintegrate under the load. If you can't find a strong enough backing material, then just add some wings to the side and add some extra screws to help spread out the weight. That's also useful if the wall you're mounting it onto is the item that can't support the weight. Max weight counting materials and a full load of batteries is about 20lbs.
